Updating Product Prices using the Proposed Pricing tool

Fast-Weigh Web Portal

Using the Apply Proposed Pricing tool

With our Proposed Pricing feature, you can easily prepare an updated price list for one or more Products without applying the changes to your current pricing. Then, once the proposed pricing has been approved by your organization, you may apply the changes to just one product, or to all products at once.

  • Navigate to  Resources > Products > Products & Pricing.
  • Next, edit a product template price from the Product Pricing table by clicking on the Pencil icon.
  • Type the Proposed new price in the Proposed column.

  • Click the  "More" Pencil Icon to add a Proposed Surcharge Rate and Proposed Adjustments (if you use Pricing Adjustments).

  • Once the Proposed Pricing has been reviewed and approved, you can overwrite the Current Pricing by clicking the Apply Proposed Pricing button on the top-right of the Product Pricing table.
    • This will apply all Proposed Prices to the Current Prices and "More" pricing pop-up and cannot be undone.

Using the Create Proposed Pricing tool

As an additional option, if you wish to set up proposed pricing for review by your organization, you may wish to do so to several (or all) products at once. This can be accomplished through the Create Proposed Pricing tool. Using this tool you can generate new proposed prices for any products that are priced at a non-zero amount.

  • If there are no products already listed in the Product Pricing table, use the parameters at the top of the screen to query for the products you wish to create new Proposed Pricing for.
  • Click the Create Proposed Pricing button on the top-right of the Product Pricing table.
  • Select from the drop-down menus if you wish to create a new Proposed Price by using a Fixed amount or a Percent amount.
  • Enter the amount you wish to modify the current prices by in the blank input box to the right (making sure to enter percent values in decimal form, i.e. for 20% enter 0.2).
  • Optionally: You may also propose a new Surcharge price using the second set of fields.
  • Once complete, click the green Create Proposed Pricing button at the bottom.

You will now see the newly created proposed prices in the Proposed column.
Be aware that this will overwrite any existing Proposed Prices in the Proposed column.
