Dispatching Ticket Types

When setting up a Dispatch, you will need to set the Ticket Type if you are using the Fast Weigh Mobile app for managing your Dispatches. Each Ticket Type will function differently, so it is important to select the correct type when when setting up Dispatches.

You can set default  Ticket Types for each of your Locations by going to Resources > Locations, editing a Location, and setting a Default Dispatch Type.

  • Fast Weigh POD - For dispatches with tickets already created in FW
    • This type is for dispatches that will be ticketed by the Fast Weigh desktop app on pickup.
    • The Mobile operator must scan a QR code printed on the FW ticket or search by FW ticket number to record the delivery.
    • NOTE: Use POD must be turned on for the corresponding order in order for this ticket type to work.
  • Create at Pickup/Delivery - This mode is for dispatches where the ticket will be entered into Fast Weigh from scratch.
    • Mobile Operator creates a Fast-Weigh ticket when material is picked up/delivered
    • This mode will print a ticket if you have printing set up in the Mobile App.
  • Receive at Pickup/Delivery - This mode is for dispatches where the new FW ticket is being copied from the ticket received during the dispatch.
    • Creates a Fast Weigh ticket based off of existing ticket from an outside source at material pick up/delivery
      • Includes the option to capture an image of the external ticket
    • This mode will print a ticket if you have printing set up in the Mobile App.
  • Load Count Only - To be used for tracking when material weight/pricing/etc does not matter (for example, dumping).
    • Does not create a Fast Weigh ticket, record of this type only exists in the Dispatching module
